The end of the road for Raya Icon Pack…

apk_size_100mb

EDIT 04/20: we finally found a solution to allow a size of 150mb! Raya updates are not dead 😀

As you may know Android developers can’t upload an apk file if the size is over 100mb (it was 50mb a few years ago).

We tried many solutions to optimize the size of the icon files while keeping a good level of quality and we asked Google if a solution was possible on their side (=> No).

Raya is one of our most downloaded icon packs and it includes about 20,000 icons! That’s why it takes time to load the icon cache 🙂

Unfortunately we are uploading the 87th update today and the apk size is around 95mb… In 1-2 updates we will no longer be able to add new icons.

Only new app activities will be supported (click here if you don’t see what I’m talking about) because icons are already created and it’s just one text line to add.

I’ve got some good news, though! It has been requested months ago by users and we think it’s a good idea since Raya is very appreciated: we are working on a rounded version of Raya: Caya Icon Pack. This new icon pack will be pushed on Google Play in 1-2 weeks at the latest. Feel free to switch to this new icon pack if you enjoy Raya’s style.

Sorry again to have to drop the support of Raya but it seems there’s no solution. Of course please contact us if you have the solution 🙂

Take care,
OSheden & Primokorn

    1. Bonjour Christian,
Tu veux dire retirer les packs d’icônes d’autres développeurs ? Je viens de regarder et on gagnerait environ une mise à jour. Le problème reste entier malheureusement.
